Keema and James’ love story began almost 20 years ago, in of all places, a car dealership in Van Nuys, California. Keema was car shopping after a long night of clubbing, and James was, at the time, employed at an Audi dealer as one of their sales reps. Keema walked in, and after chatting briefly, she told James that she’d been to this dealership previously and had already spoken to another salesperson. James knew, and liked, this guy, so he politely backed off and let them conduct their business. Exactly 30 days later, Keema had to come back to the dealership for an appointment, and this time, James slipped her his business card and said… “give me a call if you’re single”. Later that night, she called…and they talked for hours. Their first date was an outing to a sushi restaurant followed by drinks at a lounge-type bar. Both were pleasantly surprised by their unique – yet in some ways similar - pasts, which included both being originally from the east coast (Keema from New York and James from D.C). Both loved the ocean, travel, a good laugh, great food, video games and horror films.

They’ve been together ever since.

Today, Keema is a Senior Manager in Licensing for a major Hollywood studio and James has his own company as a Corporate Trainer and content producer for businesses. They currently live in Southern California but also lived in the San Francisco area for a few years.

It was in San Francisco – at one of the piers overlooking the Pacific Ocean – where James officially proposed, and Keema accepted. Their shared love of the ocean, travel, food and experiencing new things has been the driving factor for their vacations all over the world.
